Join us Friday, August 16, 2019 for breakfast as Scott Koorndyk, President, The Entrepreneurs Center (TEC) will present “From Laboratory to Market: Building an Innovation Economy in the Dayton Region.
Scott Koorndyk is President of The Entrepreneurs Center (TEC), a technology commercialization center located in Dayton, Ohio. TEC supports technology-focused start-ups and small businesses through a variety of programs, with clients primarily in the aerospace, advanced materials, and life sciences markets. Under Scott’s leadership, TEC launched the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Technology Acceleration Project (TAP), a program to identify, assess and commercialize technologies within AFRL, and among small businesses working with the Air Force. TEC also administers the Dayton Region’s Entrepreneurial Services Provider (ESP) program that provides capital to high-potential early-stage technology companies across the Miami Valley.
Throughout his career, Scott has focused on technology development and commercialization in diverse for-profit and nonprofit businesses. Prior to TEC, Scott was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Dayton Development Coalition (DDC) and served LexisNexis in venture development and business leadership roles, including responsibility for more than 900 licenses and strategic alliances representing more than $480M in revenue, and the acquisition and integration of corporations ranging from $500K to $80M in size.
